Keith got back from Indiana Friday afternoon and we were just able to relax this weekend together. We went to the park as soon as he got back from his trip and Joey was so excited to show him everything at the park. It has been a while since Keith has been able to go with us. Joey now loves sliding a lot and playing in the club house. He was never too interested in either of those before.
This last week the weather was pretty cool. We noticed the leaves have already started turning. I'm a little sad. Summer sure did seem to go by quickly. Joey will be sad once it's cold. He loves going outside so much and he's not going to like being inside. Maybe we can buy him a little slide to make up for it. Speaking of toys . . . Joey is such a nut! Saturday we went shopping and we found a play guitar for Joey. When Joey was three months he picked out his first toy on his own . . . a play guitar. So, he must have a thing for guitars. Well, he was playing with this in the store pretty good when Keith showed him a play gun. Whether you think that toys guns are suitable for kids or not this is a pretty cool gun! Joey was having a hard time deciding which toy he wanted. He would play with one and turn right around and play with the other. We ended up buying both. I had figured that he would have forgotten about the toys, but I left them on his table in the kitchen. He pulled out the gun and made Keith open the box. Since the guitar was a little more expensive and it is getting close to time to start saving stuff for his birthday we had decided we'd keep the guitar hidden. That didn't work. He grabbed that box, too, and made Keith open it. By the way, the two toys are only boy toys! He does not like me playing with those toys with him at all! Any other toy is fine, like his new whack/a/ball toy. By the way - he's crazy with a hammer and knows how to use it!
I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Keith tries to make all of the appointments with me and has so far and did with Joey, but he'll probably miss tomorrow's. He received an email late Friday (after he landed he had to run up to work real quick just to check his email and stuff) and they're having a meeting early tomorrow morning. They said that it was an award of some kind. I'm so proud of him! He's such a hard worker. I know I give him a hard time telling him that sometimes he doesn't work, but he really is a hard worker and a wonderful husband and father. It wouldn't be such a big deal for him missing an appointment, but tomorrow's has me doing blood work. Yuck! Actually, I don't mind needles, but I'm just worried about Joey. I'll have to figure out a way to keep him preoccupied for an hour! I should get my rest, now! So, with that said - I think I'm heading off to bed. I'll post sometime soon to give everyone an update on the baby!
