Love Me Tender

I've been at a loss of what to write in the blog lately. Really, our lives just aren't that interesting. We wake up, go to school, go to the gym, go to various playgroups, play with friends, and church on Sunday's. We're not a secret spy family, though, we do get attacked by the tickle monster on a daily basis.

Hmmm, maybe you'd like to hear about our new playgroup at church? It's called Small Fries and it's starting to get bigger. It's kind of exciting and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to meet new friends. We attend the first service (old people's service) and most of the younger families attend second service so it's great meeting new families.

Here's a couple pictures of Joey, Luke, and Nicolas. These guys crack me up and I can only hope and pray that they're able to maintain their friendships with each other.

How about you? Do you have any friends you met through church at a young age? I automatically think of a sweet family (The Padillas) but I've lost contact with them. Living 2,000 miles away from home causes you to lose touch with people.

Here's Clarissa working extra hard at making a Valentine's Day card for Keith.

And in honor of Valentine's Day fast approaching I figure I'll take an idea from Danica and make a top ten list.

Top Ten Romantic Songs

1. Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley
2. Can't Help Falling in Love with You by Elvis Presley
3. More Than Words by Extreme
4. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica
5. At Last by Etta James
6. When You Say Nothing at All by Allison Krauss
7. Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra
8. Besame Mucho by Diana Krall
9. Come Away with Me by Norah Jones
10. Unforgettable by Nat King Cole

and honorable mentions:

Fever by Peggy Lee, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, and Brown eyed Girl by Van Morrison

What about you? What are your favorite romantic songs?

I'm so happy a Van Morrison song made your list, even if it is an honourable mention!!! He's my all-time favourite and he has so many amazingly beautiful and romantic songs. You're the only friend I still have from childhood...we didn't really go to church. I'm hoping I start feeling better soon so we can go church shopping. I miss having that community and connection with other people and I'd really like to get involved in whatever way God sees fit. You're kids are gorgeous as always and I'm so glad you have such a great husband. I could wish nothing more for my dearest friend <3
