Whatcha got cookin?

Clarissa is getting so big!!! She started solid foods last night. I didn't think I'd be so emotional about it. I just realized that she is growing up so quickly. It's hard to believe that she's already four months. Time has flown by so fast! She did well with her first solid foods. She had some rice cereal. Joey was never a fan of it. The only way we could coax him into eating some was with some apple juice mixed into it. Last night he was very interested in what CJ was eating and so he ate a little . . . and realized that rice cereal is just as disgusting now as it was back then! He had no interest in trying any of it tonight.

Speaking of Joey - he had the fluids in his ears checked, again, this last Monday and unfortunately his right ear did not clear on its own. It's not something that can be treated with antibiotics since the fluid is not from ear infections. In fact, he's never had any. (Knock on wood) The doctors believe this could be a cause of his speech delay and now we've got an appointment with an ENT specialist at the Children's Hospital based out of Boston. I'm just happy that they will be able to see him so quickly and that they are awesome doctors. A possible solution would be placing tubes in his ears. I know that if he needs them, it will be done. It still doesn't make it an easy decision, though. I don't want to imagine Joey in any pain at all not to mention the anesthesia. I'm so scared of that. I understand that this is such a common procedure, but this is MY child! I don't ever either of my children to be scared, hurt, sad, . . . you get my drift. If I could change places with him I would in a heartbeat. So, please remember to keep Joey in your prayers.
