Elijah
Elijah scares me. Yes, I know I am a grown 27-year-old. I'm married with two kids, but this bird scares me! Keith has been out of town this week with work and I sometimes consider not feeding Elijah. I know that sounds HORRIBLE, but he snaps at me when I get close to him. If I don't feed him fast enough, he gets even madder. Okay, now that I've convinced you all to call PETA . . . don't worry! I always feed him. I always water him. The thought has just crossed my mind when Keith is out of town. Anyway, this afternoon Elijah decided he wanted a bath. Well, that's not going to happen while Keith is out of town. There's no way in heck I'm going to pick him up and place him in his bowl to take a bath! He figured he'd just help himself. He jumped down from his cage (his wings are clipped, so he's not very coordinated) and walked over to Levi's water bowl. He helped himself to a nice long bath and I was able to snap some pictures. He was actually able to enjoy it, too, since both kids were napping. He actually tuckered himself and ended up getting exhausted. I happened to look over at him and he was standing on the door jam. Asleep. Adorable. His little head was leaning against the frame. Sleeping. I tried taking a picture, but of course he woke and is now sulking. He's ready for Keith to be home. Luckily, Keith is on his way home right now so HE can pick him up and place him back in his cage. You know I'm not going to do it.

By the way, this picture is evidence that Elijah does not starve.
