We're gearing up for the upcoming busy months. Cindy and Mark will be visiting us in April. We are really excited about seeing them! We will also be heading to New York City while they're here. The last time we've been there was when Joey was around seven or eight months with our friends Shane and Brandi. I think the kids will have a blast seeing all of the bright city lights and playing at the huge toys r us. Keith and I are planning on making it to a show, too.
July we'll be going on a REAL vacation! We'll be going with our friends the Hadley's and Fagundo's. I'm really excited about this! It'll be nice! We're renting a cabin and spending a week just relaxing. I shouldn't get ahead of myself since we haven't reserved anything, yet, but as long as we get the cabin we'll be going!
August is Terra's wedding and we'll be headed there a few days before the wedding to spend some time with her and her family. Afterwards, we'll head to Amarillo. I am hoping that we can celebrate Keith's 30th birthday and my dad's 60th birthday a little late while we're there. I'm stoked about the upcoming trips we have!
I don't really have a nice way to transition into a new subject . . . so consider yourself transitioned:
My kids are hilarious. Yesterday I let them take a really LONG bath. When I got Clarissa out of the tub she started freaking out. She was yelling at the top of her lungs, "What's wrong with me?!" I quickly checked her body and couldn't help but laugh when I figured out what was "wrong" with her. Since she had been in the tub so long her skin was pruned. Let's hope my daughter marries a plastic surgeon. If she can't handle wrinkles at two I don't know how she'll handle real wrinkles later in life.
Also yesterday after I picked up the kids from childcare at the gym Joey asked me what I was doing while they were playing. I told him that I had been exercising. He asked why and I told him it was so I could stay in shape. He looked at me a little while and then asked me, "what shape are you right now?"
Funny kids.

I love your kids! They absolutely crack me up!!! I remember a time when my niece Peyton was about 6 and we had gotten some cheesy tater tots at Burger King. Me and her Momma both commented that the cheese was a really sharp cheddar flavour. Peyton looked at the tater tot in front of her and back at us and said, in a very concerned voice "It's sharp? Did you hurt yourself?" LOL!!! Kinda hard to explain that "sharp" can be a flavour to a very literal 6 year old....LYLAS <3
I love how literal kids are. Joey has recently started saying, "no," to us and that is a pet peeve to me. You DO NOT tell your parents no. Anyway, Joey was bickering with Keith yesterday over something. Keith told him "no," and Joey said, "yes." After a couple of times Joey got really upset and said that he should get what he wants because he was not telling him "no." Nice reasoning, but not gonna happen.
