True Colors

I know, I know! I haven't been very good at updating lately. It's not for lack of trying. I have tried countless times to write an update, but usually end up deleting it because there just really isn't much to report.

Thankfully, our lives have been pretty uneventful as of late.

Wait! I have a funny story to share with you (my one or so reader out there in blog world)! Today, I had a parent/teacher conference with Joey's teacher to help determine his schedule for next year. Here's the conversation between Joey's teacher and Clarissa as we were leaving:

Ms. Erin: "See you later, alligator!"
Clarissa: "I'm not an alligator."
Ms. Erin: "I'm sorry. I was just kidding with you."
Me: "Honey, she was just pretending with you."
Clarissa: "Oh. Well, Ms. Erin, you can just pretend that I'm Clarissa Jade."

Wow. I can't wait for her teenage years.
