Happy Days!

It's just adorable what kids will say. Yesterday, Joey was able to go to one of his friend's birthday parties. Clarissa was still napping so I took him while Keith stayed home with her. It was really nice just spending some time alone with Joey. He got my full attention and it was really special. He had so much fun and enjoyed himself. On the way home, I asked him if he had fun and he told me that, "Joey had a happy day!" It really made me smile. How great would it be if you just really thought about your day and could sum it up as a "happy day?"

After church today we went to the state park with our friends. We went once last year and Joey loved it. We just haven't gotten around to it this year so we were excited to have been invited to join our friends. Joey loved it just as much this year! What is surprising, though, is that CJ LOVED it, too! She had a ball! I think her favorite part was probably eating sand, but lounging in the water was so much fun. I bet she had a "happy day," too.

Speaking of happy days, Keith made my day yesterday. I had a really long week. CJ has been teething and has been sick. So, most nights I've been up around 2 - 3 hours at a time. Keith let me treat myself yesterday to a nice haircut and just a plain good 'ol day of relaxation. So - my happy day was awesome! Pampering myself and spending time alone with Joey! My hubby is the best!
