Softball

As you all know, Keith is on the church softball league. He is a great ball player and I'm always so proud watching him. Keith actually was offered a scholarship to play ball in college. He didn't accept it because he opted for another school, though. Anyway, this last game he hit a home run! That's his second for the season. He usually hits at least one or a two a game, but this league does not have fences so it's really hard to hit them. So, it's a big deal when he does in this league. Go, Keith!

Unfortunately, I missed his home run. I was watching the kiddos and taking pictures. You know me. Besides, it's so cute watching my kids play with their friends. Joey enjoys watching his daddy play ball and afterwards he and his friend Luke run the bases together. That's fine by me! It really helps tire him, though, really I can't complain. Joey is a good sleeper. He's always been a good sleeper. Clarissa, however, probably sleeps less than Joey. Maybe not. Joey definitely takes a longer nap than CJ, though. She only takes one nap a day. At this age Joey was still taking two a day. That's my fault, though. We're so busy that we're not always home for her to take a nap.

This Friday is Fourth of July . . . my favorite holiday! I don't know why it's this holiday and not like most everyone else's - Christmas or Thanksgiving. I guess I just love the weather and always remember my parents throwing a huge party. Our families all would come together and pop fireworks, eat some good food, and play games. We're throwing a party, again, this year. Unfortunately, we cannot pop fireworks in Massachusetts. I'm not a person to pop them, but I love watching them. We usually can see the fireworks from Boston if it's a clear night or just watch them on tv. It looks like we'll have a good turnout this year, again. Bring on the barbecue!
