Maybe Daddy can?

Well, it's about that time. That's right . . . I'm talking about Keith being the favorite parent. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm the enforcer and Keith is the fun one. Who knows? Joey showed signs of favoritism pretty early and here recently (within the last week or so) CJ has started to be a big time Daddy's girl. Both my kids are either a Mama's boy or Mama's girl, but think the world of Keith. Joey's favorite thing is to say, "maybe Daddy can (fill in the blank with either 'fix it' or 'find it'). It's really sweet he thinks Keith can fix everything, but come on! Have a little faith in your mom, son! The other day I was taking apart the vacuum cleaner to clean it. Once Joey saw me get the screwdriver out of the tool box, he came running over to tell me that Keith could fix it. When the vacuum cleaner wasn't coming apart as I'd hoped, he told me that maybe his daddy could fix it. Well, that just motivated me to do it all on my own! When I fixed it back together, Joey looked SO SHOCKED. He actually told me, "good job." MONSTER. How long does this last? I know I was a Daddy's girl for a REALLY long time. Here's where you cue the violin music. I'll just play second fiddle for the next ten or so years . . . and beyond.
