On the way back home from the doctors, Joey threw up in the car! Oh my goodness! By now, I was sleep deprived (try sleeping after the long night I had worrying about Clarissa) and had another sick child. I called the doctor and since Joey did not have a fever, they just told me it was probably a stomach bug. When I got home, it turns out the toilet wasn't working right! Definitely by this time, I was a wreck! I needed Keith home ASAP. I got both down for their nap and took one with them. Joey woke up with a fever. Now, neither of my kids were interested in eating anything. They both just wanted to drink fluids. I just made sure they stayed hydrated and both their fevers were fine. Saturday morning we woke up, attempted breakfast, and we all snuggled on the couch. Both kids just wanted me to hold them. Shortly after, I got them down for naps . . . and during nap time LEVI WOKE UP FEELING SICK! Now, my dog is sick? What is this? By now, I've convinced myself I'm never allowing Keith to go out of town, again. Luckily, he's on his way home, but I needed him days ago. That evening he finally came home, but Clarissa only wanted me to hold her and I just wanted to take a break. Keith ended up fixing the toilet. Apparently, the pipe to the toilet was frozen. THANK GOD it didn't burst. I don't know what I would have done with one more catastrophe.
Yesterday morning we woke to snow and then it kept snowing . . . and snowing, and snowing! Since both kids are feeling better I thought I'd take them out and we'd just have some fun at the indoor play area at the mall. Ooops, our driveway is filled with snow. Keith didn't have time to shovel since he had an early meeting. He shoveled yesterday (and hurt his back) but neither of us realized it was going to snow more last night. If that were the case, he would have woken earlier. At least he's got four wheel drive and was able to get out of the driveway.
Ahhhh . . . enough of me griping. I'm sure you all enjoyed this. So, I'll just try to share something sweeter. Clarissa is now attached to a blanket. It's one of Joey's old blankets we used to swaddle him in as an infant. A while back we placed it in her crib and she's got to have it to sleep, now. She loves carrying it, too. It's actually really adorable. I wonder if I'll still think it's adorable in a few years when the blanket is no longer white, but black from dirt and she refuses to let me wash it and can't go anywhere without it.

I have to say that Joey seriously is a good boy. He helped me so much this weekend even though he wasn't feeling well. He's such a good boy and I love him!

Oh, I am so sorry! How come everything always falls apart when the husband is gone?? I'm glad it is over for you and that you all survived!
AWWW!!!! That had to be SO scary with Clarissa shaking like that! And then Joey is sick, and the dog is sick...seriously one of those times when you think God must have a sense of humour...
That's adorable about CJ and the blankie. Peyton has this blanket that she has had since she was born. 7 years ago it was a super-soft fleece blanket...now, after 100's of times through the washing machine, it is the nubbiest, nastiest thing, but the kid still loves it and has to have it to sleep with...it's still adorable, but then..she's not my kid..just the niece I get to adore and spoil, LOL!
