Today, I had the opportunity to be the mystery reader for Joey's class. The teacher tries to get the kids to guess who it is and they all close their eyes. I sneak in and they open their eyes. It was sooo adorable! Joey was being silly and didn't want to open his eyes right away. Once he did, he was so excited. I read "Goodnight Moon." Afterwards, it was time to go and as we were leaving, Joey tells everyone, "Merry Christmas!" It was hilarious. The last time we were there it was Christmas time, so he must associate having me there with Christmas time. Uh oh, I hope he doesn't expect more presents when he wakes up tomorrow morning.
On the way home, Clarissa kept asking, "wassat?" That means, "what's that?" Joey kept answering her question with, "car . . . it's a car. Car. Car. Car . . . it's a car. Sister, can you say Mama . . . it's a car, car, car . . . " She must have asked a million times and he answered every time. So sweet.
Last night we had their friends over for the evening and they all had a blast. It was sweet that the girls stuck with each other and the boys stuck with each other. I love it!
