Just thinking

Lately Joey has turned a little too aggressive for my liking. When CJ started crawling Joey didn't like it one bit. He was showing this by being mean to her. The pediatrician assured me that most older siblings go through this and it usually lasts about six months. SIX MONTHS? Well, it's getting close to the six month mark. He's decided to also turn his attention elsewhere. Joey has two good friends and has started picking on one inparticular. It absolutely breaks my heart. This little boy is such a sweet kid and I just don't understand why Joey wants to torture him. Don't get me wrong, Joey is one of the sweetest kids you'll meet, but he just loves making his friend cry. It's puzzling. Is this a boy thing? When will it stop? This weekend Keith reminded me of how he used to be as a child. Keith has three boy cousins and one girl cousin. Keith and Shane are the closest. They consider themselves more brothers than cousins. They've always been that close, but Keith remembers purposely torturing Shane just to make him cry. I've heard stories of Keith tormenting Shane probably up until age four or five. So, Bethany, if you read this I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE and hope that Joey doesn't take after his daddy in that way.

On a brighter note, Joey can also be one of the most kind-hearted kids. Today we went grocery shopping and while I was checking out (which, by the way, I do not like self-checkouts with groceries) and Joey didn't know I was watching him. He was snuggled so close to Clarissa. He then proceeded to put his arm around her and give her the biggest kiss in the world. It made me smile from ear to ear! I quickly grabbed my camera and tried to capture the moment, but once Joey heard the sound of the camera turning on he put his arm back and acted like he had done nothing of the sort!

Oh! I forgot to tell you that Joey was accepted to attend preschool! We'll find out soon his first date, how often, and how often he'll go.

Clarissa is becoming more and more mobile daily. Joey didn't walk until age 13 months and CJ is only 10 months. I wonder if she'll be walking soon. She's been standing briefly for a couple months, now, but has recently started doing it with more confidence and for longer periods of time. We went to go buy her some good walking shoes the other day. It's crazy how little of feet she has! She's just barely into size three shoes. Joey wore size three and three MONTHS! Joey was born with a size one foot and that was just for a brief amount of time. I believe at ten months Joey was between a size five and six. Oh, my little lady is going to have small feet like me!

I have to brag about Keith. He seriously is the best husband! I've been doing some catch-up-work for school and he's not complained once about watching the kids while I lock myself up in the playroom (where we now have the computer) and feeds them and everything! Tonight he brought home chick-fil-a. Yummy! I know for most of you reading this that chick-fil-a is not a big deal, but it is here! It's about a 45 minute to an hour commute each way! He was by Peabody and dropped in to get some for us. Thanks, Keith.
