The Way I Am

Have you ever watched a cartoon that you remember like watching when you were a child only to think "what was I thinking," and "why am I letting my child watch this?" Perhaps we are too politically correct and "wussified" (as Keith so eloquently says).

Today we let the kids watch "Dumbo" for the first time. If it was any current cartoon that let their characters get drunk and spank, my kids wouldn't be watching it. However, good 'ol Walt Disney was allowed in my house tonight.

Clarissa asked me about Dumbo's mom during a certain point in the movie. I explained that Dumbo's mom loved him very much and that's why she was acting the way she was. Clarissa then proceeded to say, "Oh! You're kind of like Dumbo's mommy! Because you love your baby very much and I'm your baby."

I'm not sure if I should be flattered or not.
