R-O-C-K in the USA

We had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend. Long weekends with my family is always enjoyable. For Keith's Father's Day present we decided to buy it early and it was perfect for this weekend: a barbecue grill. We definitely took advantage of it seeing as how we were extreme carnivores this weekend eating steaks, hot dogs, and hamburgers every day. I'm certain I gained some weight. I'm sure those margaritas helped in that department.

We had our friends over Saturday and Sunday. We bought a pinata and the kids had a blast! It was a first for all of our kids and it was surprising to see that our kids each understood how to hit it. I was extremely impressed with Joey. He looked like he was trying to hit a home run on Dora's head.

I am very grateful to live in a country where we can enjoy our freedom. It's always endearing reading everyone's updates on facebook on certain holidays. Most everyone thanked our fallen troops yesterday and it is amazing to realize that the reason we have so much freedom is only become of those brave soldiers past, present, and future protecting our country.
