Our Halloween

This year was the first year that Joey was actually able to enjoy Halloween. His first year he was too young to understand what was happening, last year he was sick with croup (go browsing through our blog and you can find out what was happening), and so we were really excited to have Halloween this year! It was more for Joey than CJ since she's too young to have fun herself.

We started the day by going to Home Depot. I don't know what it is about that store and Lowe's, but Joey LOVES going there. He could go and spend hours if I'd let him. He woke up and asked if he could go and since Keith was off work, we went.

Afterwards, we headed to our friends Ken & Sue. It was so great spending time with them and the kids really enjoyed all the playing and eating. The Robinson's always go above and beyond for our family, so we're really thankful for them! Love ya bunches!

Then, we headed to the church carnival. This was the first year we've done that with the kids and they both seemed to have fun. It was pretty low-key and the kids got to play with their friends.

We left the church carnival early so we could go trick-or-treating. This was the kids' first official time to go trick-or-treating and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Since we were a little late getting started, the crowds were pretty much all gone and . . . well, it was just perfect! Joey really had a B-L-A-S-T, BLAST! He loved saying those three magic words and getting candy.

Our Halloween was so great and just in case you couldn't tell - Joey was a cowboy on a horse and Clarissa was a cat, though people called her the purple monster.
