1/2 birthday

5/7/13:

I'm not sure why my kids seem to think they need to celebrate their half birthdays, but they've conned us into doing so.  We don't mind too much, because we get to celebrate their birthday individually (since we have always had a joint birthday party) and the weather is usually nice in May.

This year, Clarissa invited several of her favorite friends and we headed to the Grist Mill for a picnic.  Then, we headed to the gazebo to feed the ducks.  I have to say it was actually a pretty fantastic day.  She is actually already planning her next 1/2 birthday.  She wants to go to the Build-A-Bear Workshop with several of her friends.

In case anyone is wondering, for Joey's half birthday his Cub Scout Pack actually had a sleepover at the PawSox Stadium in Rhode Island . . . . so he got to spend his half birthday watching baseball and spending the night with several of his friends.
