Valentine

In 2012 Joey was in kindergarten and became really good friends with a sweet girl named Jasmine.  They apparently "married" each other during a recess.  By chance, we had a play date together on Valentine's . . . so I figure this is Joey's first "official Valentine."

 

 

Joey actually ended up inviting Jasmine to church with us, and she ended up going to church with us for about a year.  Now, her whole family attends with us . . . but during one of those weeks of Sunday School the two of these rascals kissed each other!  I know I should be more upset, but I can't help but laugh every time I think of the story.  Anyway, it's been almost two years since this picture was taken and Joey still says he's going to marry Jasmine.  Just today we discussed what he should look for in a bride.  Here are his answers:

 

1.  They need to love God.

2.  They need to be funny.

3.  They need to love the Red Sox.

4.  They need to love the family . . . specifically Keith, Clarissa, and myself.

 

I am pretty proud of my little man.
